ACCA awards the Business School at Manchester Met platinum status!Manchester Metropolitan University has been awarded Platinum provider status by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) - this top grade gives trainee accountants even more reasons to choose to study at Manchester Metropolitan University. The status is currently held by only a handful of UK providers. Platinum awards recognise a provider’s high pass rate, quality of staff and student experience. Manchester Metropolitan University currently has 250 part-time students working towards ACCA qualifications at its Business School. Professor Ruth Ashford, Dean of the Business School says: “It is excellent to be informed that our Accounting and Finance Division has met the Platinum pass rate targets for the 2010 session. This continues the excellent performance previously demonstrated by Graham Holt and his team. We are the only university in the North West with Platinum status and one of very few in the UK.” ACCA rates all its providers worldwide according to performance relating to student support and advice and induction.
