Aston Business School gets No 1 ranking

Career progress on Aston Business School’s (ABS’s) MBA programme has been ranked first in the UK and fifth in the world in prestigious global rankings released by the Financial Times on 25th January. This measure of career progression compares job level held by full-time MBA graduates and size of company they work for before and after completing the programme – a reflection of Aston’s excellent track record for graduate employment.

The MBA was also positioned in the top 20 in Europe, 11th in the UK and 73rd in the world for overall programme quality.

The rankings prove that graduates of the programme benefit from improved career prospects, earning potential and management skills - particularly vital during these difficult economic times.'

The FT ranking comments on a range of criteria relevant to the MBA programme, including salary increase, value for money and diversity of staff and students on the programme. Aston came in at 21st in the world for value for money and average salary increase was 90%. Salary increase is the percentage difference in average alumni earnings before and after completing the MBA.

Due to high demand, the Aston MBA programme will be offered via two new routes from the end of 2010 – the Distance Learning MBA and the Executive MBA.
