BI Norwegian School of Management welcomes increasing numbers of international masters students

This autumn 221 new international students will begin studying at masters level at BI Norwegian School of Management - this is an increase from last year's figure of 204. This means that around 50 different nationalities will be studying at BI in the autumn, and the numbers from India and China keep rising.

President of BI Norwegian School of Management, Tom Colbjørnsen, says, 'BI is a Norwegian school with international ambitions. It is our goal to increase the number of international students. We are pleased to see a significant increase in international applicants to our master programmes. This shows that BI Norwegian School of Management is also attractive outside the country,'

BI Norwegian School of Management has collaborated with recruitment consultants in the largest cities in India and China during the past year, and this has led to a good influx of students from these countries. BI will also be welcoming students from the USA, Romania, the Ukraine and Russia this autumn.

This year, the Chinese are the largest group of foreign students at BI Norwegian School of Management, with 59 students. Of these, 38 are doing a masters degree. Among them is Yingqi Fan (24) who is looking to be a manager with an international company.

Yingqi Fan says, 'I am really interested in management, and especially in relation to marketing. But first I must get to know the market.'
