The course is designed to provide advanced post-graduate education for both graduates and practicing engineers in the current theory and practice of process systems engineering; both technical and managerial aspects of process systems are covered; material presented in the course modules deals with the design, operation, optimisation and control of a wide range of process plants employed in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, water, power and food and drink industries; on successful completion of the course, a graduate should be able to: Demonstrate competence in the current theory and practice of process systems engineering; use the techniques appropriate for the management of a modern process plant; apply the principles learnt to the design and operation of components used within process systems; apply the principles learnt to the design, instrumentation and control of process systems;
