Cranfield University to host Europe's MBA Business Plan of the Year Competition

This year's European Business Plan of the Year Competition (EBPYC) is to be held at the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurial Performance at Cranfield School of Management.

The EBPYC is Europe’s longest running MBA business plan competition, and it is designed to encourage entrepreneurship and new business ventures.

The competition is now in its 18th year, and it has attracted budding MBA entrepreneurs from leading business schools including SDA Bocconi, IESE, London Business School and the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Altogether, thirteen leading European business schools will take part in this year’s competition.

Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Cranfield and event organiser, Dr Stephanie Hussels says, 'This competition is a perfect opportunity for MBA students to present and test their business ideas, get feedback from experts in the field, network and learn from each other. The top two teams from last year’s competition raised finance as a result of the competition reflecting the high calibre of the students’ business presentations. The event is very much in line with the ethos of the late Tim Bettany, Cranfield Alumnus and benefactor of the Bettany Chair of Entrepreneurship, who wanted Cranfield to provide a stimulating entrepreneurial environment and promote high performing ventures.'

The event will be held from Friday 28th May - Saturday 29th May 2010 at the Cranfield School of Management campus in Bedfordshire, UK.
