This autumn Trinity College Dublin (TCD) introduced two new subsidised postgraduate courses in computing with an interdisciplinary outlook - and the date for applying has just been extended to Monday 21st September.
The diplomas were established by TCD’s School of Computer Science and Statistics, together with its School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences, and will run on a part-time basis over a two year period.
Launched this year under the Higher Education Authority’s Labour Market Activation Programmes initiative - these postgraduate diplomas will give 25 job-seeking graduates the opportunity to build a flexible programme of learning, and will enable participants to improve their computer science skills while also broadening and developing career options in partner disciplines.
The courses are specifically aimed at up-skilling and re-skilling workers for jobs in the sectors of the economy considered key to tackling the recession and driving economic growth.
Further information on these programmes is available at www.tcd.ie and applications can be made via TCD’s Postgraduate Application Centre.
