Lecture: 'From consumer insight to brand success: are companies wasting $32bn on market research?'

Alex Batchelor, Chief Operating Officer with BrainJuicer & Chairman of the Marketing Society, began his career at Unilever. He was there for seven years before becoming Planning Director at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Since then Alex Batchelor has managed the Brand Valuation practice at Interbrand, becoming Managing Director at a time of a phenomenal growth.

He is a regular on the media and conference circuit, and returned to the client side as Vice President of Global Branding at Orange (launching the brand in 12 countries), Marketing Director at Royal Mail (as it faced competition for the first time in its 350 year history) and Chief Marketing Officer at TomTom.

His lecture will be followed by a formal question and answer session, allowing for a lively discussion of the theories presented. Afterwards, there will be a more informal opportunity to mingle over refreshments.
