The University of Edinburgh’s MSc in Accounting and Finance has been approved as an Education Partner of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA(c)) Institute, the global membership organisation that awards the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
This means that the MSc is judged by the Institute as covering at least 70% of the CFA curriculum and equips professionals with the knowledge to work in the field. The degree will therefore assist those who choose to study for the CFA qualification and students will benefit from an enhanced profile amongst employers.
This good news follows the approval of the MSc in Finance and Investment, which was confirmed earlier this year.
As a CFA Program Partner, the School is also required to teach a module on ethics and standards of professional practice. This will be done via workshops comprising of a combination of lecture material, case studies, group discussion and guest lectures.
