Finnish business school has become part of a newly created universityThe Helsinki School of Economics (HSE) has become part of Aalto University. This happened on 1st January 2010 - and the leading Finnish business school will now be known as the Aalto University School of Economics. HSE was the largest and leading business school in Finland, and a globally acknowledged player in the world of management education. It was recognised for its close ties with the business world as well as its high-quality research, and this will continue as the institution moves forward under its new name. The Aalto University School of Economics is an innovative and lively community comprising of around 4,000 students. There are two campuses, one in Helsinki and the other in Mikkeli. Aalto University is the newly created university resulting from the merger of three Finnish universities - the Helsinki School of Economics, the University of Art and Design, and the Helsinki University of Technology.
