Former Kent student wins Doctoral Prize

A former PhD student of Kent Business School has won first prize for the Operational Research Society’s 2010 Doctoral Prize.

Federico Liberatore was presented with the first prize in the UK Operational Research Society’s 2010 Doctoral Prize for ‘Best Dissertation in Management Science’ at the Operational Research Society’s Annual Conference in September, 2011.

This award comes with great accolade for Federico, along with a cash prize of £1,500 and continues to enhance Kent Business School’s excellence in research.

The Operational Research (OR) Society’s annual Doctoral Prize for the "Most Distinguished Body of Research leading to the Award of a Doctorate in the field of OR" was made at the OR Society’s Annual Conference in Nottingham, UK. Operational Research is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions.
