Kent Business School has been awarded EU funding

The Business School at the University of Kent has been awarded EU funding to conduct Value Chain Analysis in Mediterranean Partner Countries.

Kent Business School is part of an international research consortium that has been awarded 2 million euros by the European Union (EU) to conduct a 3-year study to examine and assess the impacts of EU and national agricultural, rural, environmental and trade policies in the Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPCs).

Specific impacts include socio-economic structural changes, income distribution, resource management, trade liberalisation, poverty alleviation, employment and migrations trends, as well as commercial relations with major trade partners (in particular the EU) and competitiveness in international markets.

Kent Business School will lead research activities using Value Chain Analysis to analyse food value chain performance and identify key policy, institutional and infrastructure factors underlying constrains in MPCs business environment.
