Project Management Institution: Lancaster University Faculty: Management School Department: Management Development Division Level: Postgraduate Study modes: Full time Course content: 1st term concentrates on fundamental principles and foundations; 2nd term explores contexts and realities; concludes in 3rd term, with exploration of transition of theory back into 'real world'; enables students to: identify appropriate projects and define content and success criteria, produce project plan that covers imperatives of finance, duration, quality and risk, monitor and control delivery of project (including implementation and close-out), show evidence of competency in use of information technology skills, including project management software, demonstrate awareness of management theory, organisational behaviour and change management, interrogate organisations' balance sheet and demonstrate competency at producing financial reports, demonstrate awareness of language and practice of management, work effectively as individual or in team, define and solve complex problems, and write succinct reports.
