Financial Planning and Wealth Management Institution: Manchester Metropolitan University Faculty: Business School Department: Accounting and Finance Level: Postgraduate Study modes: Full time Course content: This programme helps develop an understanding of the principles and practice of financial planning and wealth management, including important developments in risk management, regulation, ethics and applied behavioural finance techniques; ideal for students planning a career as a financial planner or wealth manager, the programme integrates conceptual understanding with key practical skills and provides a platform for entry into a developing professional field; the structure and content of the programme has been formed through close discussions with the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), with whom we have developed a close working relationship; use of internet web based resources to provide additional learning materials, links to library materials and useful websites as an aid to discussions; each participant is assigned a personal tutor to provide support and guidance throughout the programme.
