About the University
The University of Hertfordshire has a student community of 23,000, including more than 2,000 international students from over eighty five countries, and a global network of over 160,000 alumni. We have over 3,000 postgraduate students studying one of more than 100 taught degrees, or undertaking cutting-edge research at the University of Hertfordshire.

With our ambitious, business-facing approach, we are proud to be a new model institution, truly engaged with business, the community and international partners. This is highlighted in The Independent’s latest Good University Guide, where the University of Hertfordshire was the highest climber, and ranked second among all new universities. All this reflects the major investment we have been making. In fact, we have invested more money in our facilities – contemporary campuses, state-of-the-art Learning Resources Centers and a multimillion-pound sports village – than any other UK university.

The campus not only has all the contemporary facilities you need, but it benefits from being in an ideal location: it is half an hour from London by train and close to the M25 and A1(M) motorways. We are also within an hour’s drive of three London airports – Heathrow, Luton and Stansted.

About the Business School
Ambitious, entrepreneurial and distinctive, the University of Hertfordshire Business School is constantly developing innovative approaches to teaching, learning and research, and has been teaching Business and Management for over forty years.

Most recently, however, the research carried out within the Business School received significant recognition in the Government’s Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) carried out in December 2008, with eighty per cent of Business and Management Studies research being rated as internationally recognised, excellent or world-leading.

But are strengths are not just in our research: many of our 250-strong academic staff have extensive experience as business practitioners themselves, bringing a valuable real world perspective to your studies.

About our programmes
The University of Hertfordshire is the UK’s leading business-facing university offering the internationally recognized MBA programme in both full-time and part-time modes of study. Although the MBA can be studied throughout the world, at Hertfordshire we have developed a unique programme that is of tangible value to professionals and prospective employers which includes innovative modules and international collaborations with the likes of the USA and India. As a Hertfordshire MBA student, you will benefit from teaching and supervision by our expert research-active staff, several of whom act as consultants with leading organisations such as Roche, Camelot and BDO Hayward.

We also offer a broad range of other postgraduate degrees – from research degrees like our DBA, to professionally accredited programmes like MSc Management (accredited by the CMI), CIM Chartered Postgraduate Professional Diploma and MA Human Resource Management (accredited by the CIPD).

Many of our programmes offer you the choice between intensive full-time study, and convenient part-time study routes that can fit around your existing commitments. Alternatives, you could choose flexible short courses and stand-alone modules to boost you’re continuing professional development.
