Course covers technical and quantitative aspects of finance in regular use in banks and other financial institutions; there is substantial transfer of technology from applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics, computing, corporate finance as well as physics and engineering; modules provide training in financial mathematics for quantitative analysis; assessment by 5 core assignments, 1 (PgDip) or 3 (MSc) advanced assignments, examination and project (PgDip) or thesis (MSc).
