Warwick Business School has appointed a new Dean

However, he has been on leave for the last four years while he's been working as a Managing Director at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager. He was also a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC, for five years and an Economist at the Bank of England.

Professor Taylor says, 'I want to consolidate and build on WBS's success to make us a leading intellectual powerhouse among business schools, where academic excellence and business relevance in research and teaching are one and the same thing.'

The Vice-Chancellor at the University of Warwick, Professor Nigel Thrift says, 'Mark Taylor has all the right qualities and experience for leading and developing the strengths of Warwick Business School. We carried out an exhaustive global search to find our new Dean and we are convinced that Mark's international experience of business and leadership and superb academic credentials are a winning and exciting combination.'
